This page explains what cookies are, what reinventenergy.ro actually stores on your device, and how you can change your choice at any time.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file, generally made up of letters and numbers, which is saved in the memory of the device you browse with — computer, phone or tablet — when you visit a website.
Cookies are created when the browser displays a site. On each subsequent visit, the browser sends the file back to the server, so the site can recognise the device. Alongside cookies, sites may use other forms of local browser storage, such as localStorage — the practical difference being that localStorage is not sent automatically to the server with every request.
What cookies are used for
Cookies can make the interaction between the user and the site faster and easier: they remember preferences such as the chosen language or privacy options, so that these are not requested again on every visit.
Cookies can also be used to monitor users’ online activity and build profiles for marketing purposes. Websites in Romania are required to state publicly whether they use cookies and for what purpose — which is why this page exists.
Types of cookies
Session cookies are stored only for the duration of a browsing session and are deleted automatically when the browser is closed. Persistent cookies remain on the device after the browser is closed, in order to remember the preferences you expressed.
First-party cookies are placed by the site you are visiting. Third-party cookies are placed by a domain other than the one you accessed — for example, by an external service embedded in the page. Third-party cookies are not strictly necessary, as they belong to a service distinct from the one the user explicitly requested.
What we use on this site
The reinventenergy.ro site stores a strict minimum. We do not use advertising cookies and we do not build user profiles.

The site does not currently load traffic analytics tools and contains no chat or advertising modules. Should these be added later, the table above will be updated before they go live.
The pages use the Inter typeface, served by Google Fonts. The font places no cookies, but loading it involves a request to Google servers, which therefore receive the visitor’s IP address. Moving the font to our own hosting is planned.
How to change your choice
You can revisit your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” button in the footer of any page. It removes the saved preference and shows the consent bar again.
In addition, any modern browser allows you to block or delete cookies and site data from its privacy settings. Detailed information is available in the documentation of the browser you use — Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge. Blocking local storage entirely may cause the consent bar to reappear on every visit, since the preference can no longer be remembered.
